SC Tax Sale Atlas

South Carolina delinquent tax sale analysis. Forty-six counties, each with a live family adapter. There is no statewide file — counties publish HTML tables, PDFs, spreadsheets, or newspaper ads. No invented endpoints, and no owner lists published here.

46-county coverage

The schematic is a working map from the original analysis screen, not a surveyed boundary file. Color follows registry status.

Lexington & Beaufort

Lexington is the original product: dashed TMS, section-grid geocoder, crosswalk CSV. Beaufort uses PIN (R plus 17 digits) in the same tms column. Sale-cycle files stay on your machine.

HTML, PDF, spreadsheet

Greenville and Oconee are HTML tables. Charleston, Georgetown, Colleton, Cherokee, and Florence are treasurer PDFs. Horry and Dillon are spreadsheets. Drop a local file in inbox/ and ingest prints counts only.

Live · page watch

Newspaper and seasonal pages

The other counties have a verified treasurer page and a watcher. When a listing file appears, the same ingest command collapses into table, PDF, or spreadsheet. GIS (qPublic, OneMap) locates a parcel after you have an ID — it is not the sale list.

Out of state

Haywood County, North Carolina

The original app also opened a North Carolina track for Haywood (Maggie Valley area; delinquent lists described for 2022, 2023, and 2025). That work is an extra. It is not one of the 46, and it is not part of the South Carolina prices below.

What the engine actually does

A parameterized county adapter, not a scraped statewide database.

  1. Registry. counties/sc.json names all 46 counties, Census FIPS, and only the URLs that were verified.
  2. Lexington. Reads a local CSV with columns tms, owner_location_2025_REALAD, owner_location_2022_list, amount_2025_REALAD, amount_2022_list. Geocodes by TMS section grid. Summaries omit owner names.
  3. Beaufort. Parses treasurer PDF text for PINs and amounts. Drafts a treasurer inquiry from a file you already have.
  4. Every other county. ingest and watch use that county’s family adapter. Owner lists never go in git.

Pricing

Four ways to work. No checkout on this site. Write and we will confirm scope from the registry, not from a guessed parcel count.
